On April 15th, Ms. Stephanie Smith, Consul General of the Australian Consulate General in Shanghai and Head of Education Affairs, visited Dishui Lake International Software College. Prof. Du Zhenyu, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, and Prof. Pu Goguang, Executive Director of the Software Engineering Institute, met with the Australian delegation and held discussions and exchanges on educational cooperation.

Prof. Pugeguang warmly welcomed the visiting delegation, Prof. Du Zhenyu gave a detailed introduction to the overall situation of East China Normal University and the future cooperative education plan of Dishui Lake International Software Engineering Institute. Sun Yanqing, Deputy General Manager of the Investment Promotion Service Center of Gangcheng Group, introduced the plan for the new Lingang area. Subsequently, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on the basis, mode, and advantages of cooperation.

As an important strategic deployment of our institute in the Lingang New Area, Dishui Lake International Software Engineering Institute will gather the institute's superior scientific strength to build an open platform with international characteristics and interdisciplinary integration. Our Institute is actively engaging in educational cooperation discussions with top universities around the world. It aims to deepen cooperation in areas such as joint talent cultivation, exchange programs, short-term courses, and summer schools. At the same time, it is exploring the establishment of Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions. The ultimate goal is to build an international talent training base, technological innovation base, and expert gathering center in the field of software with global influence.

Before the meeting, the Australian delegation also visited the Dishui Cloud Hall. Zhang Jing, the Education Commissioner for Greater China of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Senior Business Officer (Education) Liang Wenting, and He Fen, CEO of the MeiAo International Education Group, accompanied the visit. Meng Yu, executive of the university International Cooperation & Exchange Division, coordinator Xu Cheng, and vice-deans of our institute, Zhang Min and Zhu Dan, among others, attended the discussion meeting.
