The 2018 Symposium on Intelligent Science and Embedded Technology was successfully held on May 23, 2018 in ECNU campus. The meeting was chaired by Academician Jifeng HE. Associate Professor Jianqi Shi and Xiaoming Ju served as the chairman of the conference. The conference was hosted by the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering of East China Normal University.

The conference invited famous scholars from China and abroad in the field of intelligent science and embedded technology, in order to attract computer science and software engineering researchers from all over the country.

In the speech "Welcome to the Great Knowledge Revolution", Prof. Ruling Lu first introduced two concepts that caused hot debates in the information industry in the second decade of this century: big data and big knowledge.

The conference invited well-known experts from home and abroad to make keynote reports. Professor Bin Hu of Lanzhou University gave us a wonderful speech entitled “Computational Psychophysiology Based Emotion Analysis for Mental Health”. Prof. Bing Guo from Sichuan University gave a report titled “Low-Energy Software Design Method for Embedded Systems”, and Professor Xingmian Sha from East China Normal University gave a report titled “How to Design a Memory-Based Efficient Data Storage System”, all winning the praise and warm applause of the participants.
